A Meissen figure of the Greeting Harlequin by J. J. Kaendler. He is shown bounding forward with his grey hat held in front of him, his grinning face turned to the right. He is wearing a white frilled collar over his chequered doublet which is coloured in yellow, turquoise and puce, trimmed in gilding. His trousers are in red, blue and white, and the flat base is plain and with tree-trunk support.
